NBA Tips & Betting Preview | Tuesday 14 June

Boston Celtics at Golden State Warriors

The Celtics come off a poor performance in Game 4 at TD Garden as they went down 107-97. Throughout the series, they’ve usually been a strong 4th quarter team but were outscored 28-19 in Game 4. So they’ll be looking to finish stronger in Game 5 on the road. They have been a great bounce-back team so we’re confident they can step up. Especially since they beat the Warriors at this venue in Game 2 by 19 pts. Tatum comes off 23 pts in Game 4 and also picked up 3 blocks in a solid performance. Robert Williams was also strong in defence with 2 blocks and 12 boards. Smart and Brown were both quiet in Game 4 so they’ll be the key if Boston can rebound. However, White continued his strong play during this series with 16 pts in Game 4. In terms of injuries, Rob Williams is questionable but he should be fine to play.

Steph Curry led the Warriors to a famous victory in Game 4 with a shooting masterclass as he finished with 43 pts. He was on fire from beyond the arc with 7 threes and was also efficient from the field, shooting 14 of 26. With the series locked at 2-2, look for Curry to continue the momentum. He’s now averaging 34.3 points in the series and looks nice value in the 35+ pts market. But the question mark on the Warriors is the supporting cast around Curry. Thompson is averaging around 17 points per game but struggled at home in Game 1 & 2. Wiggins was a beast around the boards in Game 4 with 16 along with 17 pts. So 9+ rebounds is a good value market for Game 5 if his rebounding ability can continue. Draymond Green had a tough time in Boston as the crowd made him public enemy #1 but he should enjoy being back in front of his home crowd.

Boston have proven to be a strong bounce-back team in this year’s playoffs and we’re expecting them to respond on Tuesday. They’ve covered in 9 of their last 13 games as a road underdog and also won at this venue in Game 2, 107-88. Meanwhile, Boston are 13-3 ATS after a loss and 6-2-1 ATS as a playoff underdog. The Warriors are just 3-8 ATS after a win and the question marks still surround their scoring ability if Curry doesn’t score 30+.
